This quote means that if you're free and making bad choices you are not really free because you can lose freedom and independence. It also means if you choosing the right, you don’t really have freedom. This quote is telling us that we can lose freedom and independence.It also means that you have a choice to do whats right. A good example of this quote is if i'm free but I decide to rob a bank and get caught you can lose your freedom because no one would respect you.
